Structure

The mechanical structure of TIsat-1 has been manufactured by RUAG Aerospace in Lodrino (TI, CH) and is fully compliant with the CubeSat standard, rev. 11.
The overall design, validation and refinement was made at SUPSI.

Deployables

The antenna hold and the deployable parts are original design from SUPSI-SpaceLab and were manufactured, tested and optimized at our site.

Magnets & Deployment Switches

Dedicated structure features are built-in to host the permanent magnets for satellite pointing and the pin-spring system to actuate the deployment switch.

Material

TIsat-1 is built out of aluminium (Avional).
